Before I get started on today’s project I wanted to tell you how Awesome the upcoming Mini Catalog is. As a Demonstrator, one of our perks is to get to do a Pre-order for the upcoming catalogs. I ordered way more than I should have. But that is the fun of stamping. And I will have the products to use and get the excitement going for the Catalog debut on August 3rd. If you would like to have this pre-order perk, lets talk about you joining my team!
For today’s project I have decorated one of the Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes to hold a small gift and added a sweet gift tag. I used the Sweet as a Peach Bundle along with the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. TIP: This DSP is one of the ones on sale for the next month at 15% off!!
Sweet As A Peach
I love everything in this You’re A Peach Suite of products!!! I used the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set to make the little tag. The branch with the flower are both from the stamp set. The flower itself is die cut using the Peach Dies. The “For You” is from the Pretty Perennials stamp set.
For the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box, (you can see them on page 137 of the Annual Catalog), I covered just the lid with the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. The DSP is layered on Balmy Blue cardstock. I think this sheet is my favorite from this DSP pack. I love the mix of colors on the flowers and the tiny blue flower. I chose the Balmy Blue as the stand out color and that it was what I used on the back tag for the Gift Tag.
The gift tag is cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. There are two different styles of tags with three sizes of each style. This is a great way to make a darling tag with minimal time and effort.
Finishing Touches
To secure the box, and because it is so pretty, I used the Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon. It is very easy to work with and I love the texture the ribbon has. The gift tag was added just above the bow by making a simple Linen Thread bow.
The layers of the gift tag are secured together with a glue dot, and are a bit offset from each other. The flower is adhered using a Stampin’ Dimensional. I added a single Rhinestone to the center of the sweet flower. It was a toss up to go with Bling or with a Black Matte Dot to match the flowers on the paper. Bling won out!

Before I get to today’s card, I want to let you know about two sales.
The Last Chance Sale……Today is the Last Day of the sale. There are still some great deals so don’t leave items on your wish list.
Beginning tomorrow, July 1st, Stampin’ Up! has announced a Designer Series Paper Sale!! There are 9 packs to choose from and they are 15% off. This sale runs tomorrow through August 2nd. These are all papers included in the Annual Catalog, so it is not a Last Chance scenario! There is a picture of the papers further down in the post.
For today’s card I am focusing on one of the Retiring Bundles. It is the Forever & Always Bundle. Sadly I just checked and the stamp set is sold out. However the Always Dies are still available. I apologize about that. They were both available when I made the card.
Paper
The gorgeous DSP is the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. And YES it is included in the upcoming DSP Sale! As always, I pulled my other colors from the piece of DSP. The base card is Flirty Flamingo, followed by a layer of Night of Navy cardstock.
Daffodil Delight is the next layer. It is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder, but does not show in the photo. 🙁 I also chose a piece of Night of Navy to hold the two flowers. I hope you will try this layout with a different flower, if you do not own the Forever & Always. There are quite a few that would work wonderfully. Flowers from the In Symmetry stamp set would be perfect and match the design in the paper. That really is a gorgeous Suite of Products!
Colors and Finishes
You know how much I love Stampin’ Blends! So of course I colored the flowers using those wonderful tools. The flower is colored with Flirty Flamingo for the petals and Daffodil Delight for the centers. The leaves are colored using Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. To complete the flowers I added a yellow dot from the Playing With Pattern Resin Dots. I love adding dots, pearls, rhinestones, etc to my projects. I believe it makes them just a bit more special.
Below is the information for the Last Chance Sale, which ends today, and the Designer Series Paper 15% off Sale, which begins tomorrow!!

I have spent a couple of days looking out into the backyard where we have bird feeders. We have a sick cat and I have been loving on him and looking out the window. The card I am sharing is one I made for my Stamp Club several days ago, but it fit with what my view has been.
Stamp Set
This sweet stamp set is the Garden Birdhouses. I love the mix of birdhouses, sweet sentiments, and the branch to hang the birdhouses. There is also a post a house can be placed on. And since Stampin’ Blends are probably my favorite method of coloring, it is a set I love!
I stamped the birdhouse in Soft Suede Ink and colored with Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The branch is stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink and colored using Mossy Meadow Light Stampin’ Blends. For the Welcome to stand out, I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp it.
Paper and Embellishments
As soon as I looked at the branch in the Garden Birdhouses stamp set, I knew exactly which DSP I would use. This is a piece of the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. I really wanted to use the gorgeous Fall colored sheet. But thought I would hold off until Fall. So I went with this “Full Summer” leaves pattern.
The card base is Mossy Meadow with a layer of White to lighten and highlight the DSP. I chose a sheet of Bumblee cardstock to layer beneath the focal layer.
The finishing touches were both very “earthy” as well. I placed the focal layer lower than normal on the card to leave room for the ribbon. I wrapped Linen Thread around the layers and tied a simple bow. Metallic Pearls are a favorite of mine. So I used a couple of the gold ones (I love that they are not very shiny!). One is placed in the opening of the birdhouse and two others are just for some bling.
Measurements
Card base is Mossy Meadow cut to 4 1/4 X 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2
White layer is 4 X 5 1/4
Bumblebee layer is 3 1/2 X 3 1/4
White focal layer is 3 3/8 X 3 1/8

I hope you were able to take advantage of the Free Shipping yesterday. I probably shouldn’t have, but I did first thing yesterday morning!
Today I have a mix of beautiful and just adorable. I mixed the beautiful Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper with the adorable Count On Me stamp set. And of course, a few extras as well.
Paper
Purple is a favorite color of mine, and this one just pops with the purple shades. The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper is the star of the show. Who would not love those hydrangea balls of color. The strip of DSP is the opposite side of the large sheet. I never toss my scraps of DSP!
For the card base, I pulled the Highland Heather from the large DSP sheet. My second favorite color is blue. So the blue hydrangea is perfect. I have one of those bushes in my yard! To match the blue, I chose Misty Moonlight for the layer.
Stamping
The oh so sweet kangaroo is from the Count On Me stamp set. That set has such adorable and huggable images of different animals. I chose the kangaroo and her little daisy to go with the other flowers.
For the sentiment, I chose the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. I love that simple sentiment. It is stamped using Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White cardstock. I used the Double Oval Punch to make the cut. I love that you can use one or both of the punches depending on your need or the look you wanted. I felt the scalloped larger oval was not really necessary with the busier paper. So this is simply the smaller of the ovals.

Before I get to today’s card, I want to remind you about Stampin’ Up!’s FREE SHIPPING that is for Tomorrow Only. Any order totally $50.00 in product earns Free Shipping! Woohoo!!!
For today’s card I have used the Sweet As A Peach Bundle. This is such an adorable stamp set. And the Designer Series Paper is beautiful, as always. Living in Georgia, this stamp set is a must!!
Colors
I love everything about this card, even if I did design it. LOL!!! More specifically, I love the colors. The You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper has awesome shading of Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral for the peaches and flowers. To me the paper is definitely the star of the show.
I chose the Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzaz cardstock colors from the DSP. The stamping is also done using those colors in the flowers and the branch. For the peach, I stamped it using Pale Papaya Ink and then sponged some Calypso Coral around the edge and top for the same look as the paper.
I die cut the flowers using the matching Peach Dies from the Bundle. The flowers stamp and cut three at a time. I stamped and cut twice for extra flowers.
Layout and Finishing Touches
Because the DSP is so pretty, I pushed the focal layer over to the right a bit. I wanted to focus on it as well as show off the two peaches that are on the left side of the DSP. After doing that placement, I was happy for the extra flowers. One of the extra ones is placed on the bottom right of the focal layer. The second one is hanging off the edge on the upper left. I like to have a little piece coming over the edge for added dimensions.
The finishing touch is to add the center to the flowers. Even though I did not add a dot to each flower, I think the three I used were a good touch. These black dots are the Matte Black Dots. They are a bit bolder than the black centers in the DSP flowers, but I love the look.
Measurements
Base card of Calypso Coral is cut 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
Pear Pizzazz layer is cut to 5 1/4 X 4
DSP layer is cut to 5 1/8 X 3 7/8
Small Calypso Coral layer is cut to 3 X 3 1/2
Focal layer of White is cut to 2 7/8 X 3 1/8

I have two cards to share with you today. It is from my Stamp Club that met on Sunday. For something different, we decided that I would give them “Pieces” and let them create their own layout. All of the cards were different and great. I think they surprised themselves after the initial thought of “what do I do?”. I also made two versions that are very similar.
This is my first card. The supplies were a base card of Thick White cardstock. The layer is Mango Melody and then a layer of White cardstock. The DSP is actually two pieces of 1″ X 3″ Brights DSP in Mango Melody. The flower is from the Color & Contour Bundle. I die cut three flowers for each person and gave them the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.
I layered the two DSP pieces together to make the strip on this first card. And I only colored the center of each flower. The sentiment is from the stamp set. I kept this one very simple. Next is my second version.
This card is very much the same. I used the two pieces of DSP separately but kept the flowers the same and in a line. I had taken the stamp set and the matching Dies to Club. A few of the ladies used some of the layering dies for their cards. I felt bad after leaving and thinking of doing a post on these that I failed to take any photos. My apologies to the group because the cards were all wonderul.
