I have a quick and simple card to share with you but also an amazing discovery as well. Actually I did not make the discovery and I am not really sure who did. However, it is worth sharing by everyone. And the best part is that it is a simple 3D Embossing Folder and cardstock. The trick is to use the Two-Toned cardstock. This cardstock arrived this past year and has not gotten a lot of play time from me. Well, that is about to change!

Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder
First off this folder is amazing! I love the vines and then the softer look of stone in the background. However the white showing through in the paper is the star of the show. The new Two-Tone Cardstock is a lighter shade of the same color on one side with the darker on the other. The main difference to regular cardstock is that it has a white center. So by embossing with the 3D folder, the white shows through. It is as if you sanded off some of the color. What an amazing look and simply by dry embossing the cardstock!
Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper
The pretty floral print center of this card is cut from the DSP. There are two sheets in the Lovely Blossoms DSP that can be cut apart and used as card fronts or layers. I chose to fussy cut the white away and leave only the flowers on the Cloud Clover background.
Beautifully Celebrated Dies
To create the rest of the focal layer background, I wanted a pretty layer. I found the layering dies included in the Beautifully Celebrated Die set to fit perfectly. There are several of this style that layer. This one is the 3rd from largest. My fussy cut flower piece fit perfectly. I opted for a simple white layer, even though I had just cut away the white the flowers were printed on. Oh well!
Sweet Blooms stamp set
This wonderful sentiment is from the Sweet Blooms set. I love the phrases Stampin’ Up! has produced lately that are similar to this. My idea of a good card is one that makes someone smile. And the font of this one is just fabulous in my book. I have been on a fussy cutting binge lately and this was another fussy cutting victim. Since the flowers are sort of small, I did not want the sentiment to cover them overly much.
Extras
There is only Bling as an extra today. This trio are from the Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots. These are very shimmery! So just what the card ordered. I chose the Secret Sea dots to highlight the flower centers as well as the sentiment. OOPS!! As I was adding the supply list for this card, I saw these dots are no longer available. I am so sorry!
