Designer Series Paper is a quick and easy way to begin a card. The one I have to share today is All about the DSP. It could not be easier.
Paper
Do you see why I said this was all about the DSP? These two pieces of the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper are the card! Generally I do not use a lot of black, or at least not to this extent. I tend to use it as a thin background layer. But this floral paper really pops with the black background. And the Fresh Freesia is so elegant looking on both of the pieces I used.
Because the DSP is so vibrant, I used Thick Basic White card stock for the card base. For a bit of a different look, I cut off 1 1/2 ” off the front to show off the second piece of DSP. With the Fresh Freesia layers everything blends together perfectly.
Stamp Bundle
I really love sentiments! And the Happy Labels Bundle is a sentiment stamp set with a great label Pick A Punch to go with it. This sweet sentiment is perfect for most any time I believe. And the fun punch label adds some extra detail to the bottom section. The punch has two different “ticket” border edges. The second is a smaller perforation than the one I used here.
On a side note, the Happy Labels is a stamp set that can be purchased in either Photopolymer or Cling. Cling is the red rubber. So please pay attention when ordering to get the material you want. There are a few sets in the Mini Catalog that give your this option to choose.
Finishes
Even with the fun fold and the layers, this is really a simple card with the DSP doing most of the work. And as beautiful as it is, it still needed some bling! One of the many things I love about the Stampin’ Blends is that you can turn a pearl or rhinestone into whatever color you may want. I used the Pearls with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend. When you color the pearl it dries almost instantly and does not come off on your hand or the card. I love it!!
