The Decorated With Happiness set has been on my To Do List for a while, and I finally sat down with it. Now I am obsessed! It is an amazing, and Fun, set to play with. You will be seeing a few different projects with this one over the next few days.
Stamp Set
This is a one stamp set card. If you have followed me for very long then you know that is a favorite thing for me. I love making cards simply and to do it with only one set is a good thing. As I mentioned at the beginning, this is the Decorated With Happiness stamp set. The branch and ornament are all you need for a cute focal point. There are “filler” stamps for both the branch and the ornament. But I decided to have it a bit cleaner looking. Although I did give in a color the ornament with Stampin’ Blend in Light Calypso Coral.
Punch and Dies
The sentiment is from the stamp set also. I used my most favorite punch for this layer. The Double Oval Punch is a must have in my opinion. This time I only used the larger scalloped oval. To mimic that scallop, I used the Layering Circles Dies for the focal layer.
Papers and Finishes
This DSP is the, carryover from last year, pack of Painted Christmas Designer Series paper. The angle cut piece is the one I like and the one that gave me all of the color ideas. Although I love how the fir branches on the larger DSP piece match the branch of the stamped. This layout was from a sketch challenge that I am late posting. But I do love the layout and the possibilities with it.
To finish this card it really did not need very much. I added the ribbon to ground the white sentiment layer. And this Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon is a dream to work with! And last but not least, I added a trio of Festive Pearls. These are a great embellishment to have on hand. The ones I used are supposed to be similar to Soft Succulent in color. But they tend to take color, or shade, from what they are around. I added two to the sentiment and one to the center of the ornament.
