Today’s project is a Christmas card that is pretty quick and highlights both the beautiful paper as well as the sentiment. Plus it utilizes some non-traditional colors.
Paper
It seems to me that the paper is the highlight of this card. The mix of greens, plus the addition of the Petal Pink, are surprisingly bright and wonderful. This sheet is from the Santa Express Designer Series paper. It does not hurt my feelings that the Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green are included. Those are my current favorite in the green family. And you cannot go wrong with the Pool Party background. This card could be made with many different combinations in the layers.
Other Elements
With the paper being the star, I needed something else that would pop as well. This fun sentiment is from the Santa’s Delivery stamp set. Once I had decided on the sentiment, which I love for occasions other than Christmas, I needed something to help it shine with the beautiful paper. That came from the Seasonal Labels Dies. These layering labels seem perfect for the bold sentiment. And with the two layers I could add a touch of the Petal Pink from the paper.
To finish the card I added the Wonderful Snowflake. That is it’s name and not just that I think it is a wonderful layer! The snowflakes are a carryover from last Christmas. With the addition of one of the largest of the Iridescent Rhinestones for the center it was a wonderful pairing to the sentiment layer.
