The Ladybug Bundle is such a fun stamp set with a wonderful matching punch.  Creating cards with them is just a fun time.  I hope you like this one and it has a stenciling addition.

Stampin' Up!, Hello Ladybug, Butterflies & Flowers Masks, Blending Brushes, Jackie Beers

Background

I am beginning with the background today.  The soft floral layer is actually from the Butterflies & Flowers Masks.  This is not something that I use often, or not at all.  But I am thrilled with how this one worked out.  Of course there are various methods for using the stencil.  I used the Blending Brushes along with Pale Papaya Ink.  You could use sponges, the little daubers, or paste.  My attempt is not perfect, but then it does not have to be!! It was fun and that is part of the plan.

Stamps and Punches

Of course the Hello Ladybug Bundle is the focal point from the card.  The ladybug’s wings were stamped using Real Red Ink and the dots made with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then punched out.  For the body I just punched that section from Basic Black Cardstock.  Her sort of glowing eyes are the Polished Dots.

The bright Granny Apple Green leaf is also from the stamp set.  A ladybug must have something to ground her.  And I love the matching sentiment.  I think it is adorable for birthdays with the “wish” comment.  To finish the sentiment, because it seemed a bit lonely in all that white, I added the little dots of Pale Papaya.  All of the stamps used are from the set.
