Today’s project is a Fun Fold , or more accurately, an Angle Fold.  And I have highlighted the great Flowering Rainboots Bundle.

Fun Fold

This Fun Fold is a pretty simple one to do.  The best part about it is that it is a great way to highlight DSP.  The front layer, if made as I did, requires a full layer size piece of DSP.  However, this look could be achieved with a stamped layer, or an embossed layer.  And the inside piece would be a great use for scraps of DSP.

To make the Angle, Cut a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, score in the center at 4 1/4.  Using your Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer, place the top of the score line on the cutting line of the trimmer.  Hold that in place and slide the top right corner beyond the cutting track to the extra measurement area.  That area goes to 1 1/2.  But only go to 1 1/4.  Make sure the top of the score line is still on the cutting track and cut.  Then for the inside piece, you need a scrap of DSP measuring 4 X 1 1/4.  Adhere it to the top of a regular White inside layer of 4 X 5 1/4.

Stamps and Dies

I love the Flowering Rainboots Bundle!  The pieces are such fun.  And I love being able to add different flowers to the unexpected pieces like rainboots or a watering can.  I stamped the watering can with Pool Party Ink and then used Misty Moonlight to stamp the sweet sentiment.  It is then die cut using the matching dies.  For the flowers, I stamped them with Crushed Curry and used a Blender Pen to draw some of the color onto the flowers for a little watercolor look.  There is a matching die for these as well.

Paper and Embellishments

The gorgeous DSP on the front and inside of the card are both from the beautiful Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.  This paper is in the Annual Catalog.  I love the softer colors of the paper but mix it with a darker one to make the colors pop!  The card base is Misty Moonlight.

For finishing touches, there are two different embellishments used.  The watering can is raised and has a loop of the Cotton Ribbon Combo beneath it.  This is the Petal Pink one.  There is also a Misty Moonlight in the combo pack.  I love the size of the ribbon.  And the second embellishment may be a bit harder to see.  It is the Brushed Brass Butterfly on the flowers.  These butterflies are really pretty and are self adhesive.  Sometimes the little touches are the best.
