Today’s project is another of the 4X4 In The Moment cards. These scenes are so relaxing to look at and to color. Plus they are quick and easy to do since they do not require a lot of additional supplies.
Stamps
The In The Moment stamp set not only has the great little scenes, but wonderful sentiments as well. I love this one for a “Just Because” card. Those are always appreciated by the recipient. This window seat view is a really easy one to color, and that is a favorite thing for me. I went with brighter colors today.
Paper +
The Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper is just beautiful! The waviness of the colors is wonderful and yet it does not detract from the stamped images. For this card I went with the Bumblebee piece. It is layered directly onto Thick Basic White cardstock for the base. And to match the blouse, I added some of the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.
To be a bit different, I tore the top and right edges of the stamped image. This is a technique that I have not done in quite a while. (The trick is to tear towards yourself). One of the finishing touches is the sentiment shape. It is , once again, done using the Double Oval Punch. That punch is a must have I believe! I added one of the Polished Dots to ground it to the card.
