You will laugh over the inspiration for today’s card! We have several bird feeders on the edge of our backyard. When I was refilling them yesterday I noticed some tiny corn and sunflowers trying to grow. Who would have thought you could grow plants from birdseed. Anyway…..that was the inspiration for today’s card.
Color Combination:
Of course I took creative license in making the sunflowers blue! LOL!! The area where our bird feeders are located back up to the neighbor’s privacy fence resulting the use of the Wood Textures DSP for the stamping surface. You never know where inspiration will come from!
I don’t normally show other photos, but I have to share this one with you. I live north of Atlanta and we get strange weather. Well yesterday afternoon was the strangest yet, and a little scary. We had the largest hail storm I have ever seen. What do you think?
These are in my husband’s hands so they really are quite large, and oddly shaped. It sounded like golfballs being hit against our garage door and gutters. We had just been in the yard when it happened and ran into the garage. So I am not sure how bad it was inside the house. Yikes! I hope not to repeat that again.
Okay! Thank you for visiting today. The supplies I used are at the bottom of the page. And you will be surprised at how little supplies were used. Although I do have to say that I am growing more and more in love with the Mango Melody color!!

SUPPLIES:
so cute. I love stamping on DSP.
Thank you Lynn!
Really like this card a lot, Jackie. Thanks.
And my word, that is really large and really strange hail!
Awesome card!!! I was not sure if I liked the stamp but I do now!! As far as the hail WOW!!!! are your vehicles ok ? were they inside??? any other damage WOW!!!
WOW!!! Beautiful Sunflower!! I received a pack of sunflower seeds from a promotion and they were all sunflower seeds like the ones some people eat! They opened the next day and are sprouting like crazy. If there are sunflower seeds in the bird feed you will get flowers. I just realized I mistook them for weeds and yanked them out!!! LOL!! I have bird feeders and lots of water bowls for the birds as it’s been hitting the 125 degrees. I live off-island of Montreal and wow! I have never seen such odd looking hail! I hate when it hails …the noise drives me crazy! Luckily we haven’t had any hail storms just thunder and lightening and no rain!! Love that flower at any rate!!! TFS
Oh how funny! And yes, I have pulled up the “weeds” and then discovered they were flowers.
Jackie, this card is beautiful, thank you for sharing this. I would have never thought to use the white wood grain DSP with the sun flower. Very attractive.
